1. Stretch-bending forming process

(1) Working principle of stretch-bending forming (two-dimensional) The stretch-bending process is basically divided into three steps: the first step, the jaws of the equipment stretching cylinder clamp the material and apply a pre-stretching force to the profile to achieve the yield strength of the material. In the second step, the rotary cylinder of the stretch-bending machine is loaded and rotated, and the stretching cylinder sets the axial tension according to the program, so that the profile is made to fit around the stretch-bending die to form the material. The third step is to increase the supplementary stretch according to the deformation and rebound of the material (see Figure 3 for the structure of the stretch-bending equipment). During the stretch-bending forming process, the stretching cylinder always exerts axial tension on the workpiece while the workpiece is bending, and the elongated part of the material is always pulled and compensated by the stretching cylinder, which avoids the wrinkling tendency of the material and can obtain good quality. (2) Features of stretch-bending forming process Technological advantages: ① It can stretch and form profiles with complex structures. ② It can realize the drawing and bending of multi-arc sections with variable curvature. ③High precision of arc bending, stable material springback and good consistency of workpiece size. ④It can effectively eliminate the residual stress inside the material, and the product has good dimensional stability. ⑤Due to the cold work hardening of the metal material, the mechanical properties of the material can be improved after the material is stretched and bent. Disadvantages of the process: ① The size of the section of the stretch-bending product is limited by the tonnage of the equipment and the size of the jaws. ②The input cost of the bending die is high, and the universality of the die is poor. ③For the asymmetric profile section, it is difficult to control the section deformation of the bending part.

(3) The key technology of the stretch-bending forming process The arc design principle of the stretch-bending workpiece is limited to not exceeding the elongation of the material. During the stretch-bending forming, there will be forming defects such as thinning of the profile wall thickness, wrinkling, and cross-section distortion. The forming defects are closely related to the mechanical properties of the profile, the section shape and the parameters of the drawing and bending process.

During the bending process, the stress state of each part of the material deformation zone is different. The material outside the neutral layer is subjected to tensile stress, and the material within the neutral zone (fitted with the bending die) is subjected to compressive stress. In order to prevent the material from being subjected to compressive stress When wrinkling occurs, the pre-stretching force should be sufficient to make the material yield and stretch, and the corresponding metal other than the neutral layer will be subjected to greater tensile force, the wall thickness will be reduced, and there will be a tendency to break. Therefore, how to balance the material without wrinkling and the metal outside the neutral layer without fracture, and avoid excessive deformation of the section size of the profile are two key considerations for determining the parameters of the stretch-bending process.

(4) Calculation of the forming force of stretch-bending profiles In the evaluation of the technical ability of the project, three factors need to be considered: whether the jaw distance of the equipment meets the tensile length of the material, whether the jaw size meets the clamping requirements of the section size, and in addition , the most critical point of stretch bending is to calculate the maximum tensile force required by the material. The forming capacity of the stretch-bending workpiece is calculated as the safety factor of 1.25 times the yield strength value of the material to ensure that the equipment does not work under the maximum tensile load. (5) Three-dimensional stretch-bending machine and key technologies of three-dimensional stretch-bending The main frame of the three-dimensional stretch-bending equipment is composed of a welded body frame structure installed on the foundation, as shown in Figure 4, the main frame is used to support the rotatable tensile rocker arm 2 and hydraulic cylinders. A working platform 1 on which molds can be placed is installed on the top of the frame. The two stretching cylinder brackets 9 are respectively installed on the upper part of the rocker arm 2, and the electric positioning is realized by electrically driving the screw guide rod to adapt to the workpieces of different lengths. Each rocker arm 2 is equipped with a stretching cylinder 4 . The twisting of the parts is carried out by means of a hydraulic motor 7 with a gearbox mounted behind the stretching cylinder 4 . The stretching cylinder 4 is mounted on the bracket 9 through a universal joint which enables the jaws of the clamp 8 to rotate freely forward or backward. The clamp lifting cylinder 5 realizes the gradual lifting of the stretching cylinder 4 during the stretching process, the clamping pitch cylinder 6 can make the stretching cylinder 4 achieve up and down pitching, and all the movements of the kinematic pair on the bracket 9 (stretching-lifting-pitching) - Rotation) so that the workpiece is tangentially stretched along the surface of the three-dimensional mold during the entire forming process to form a three-dimensional workpiece in a three-dimensional space.

Equipment structure and equipment working principle: The key technology of 3D stretch bending is mainly die design. The 3D stretch bending machine will not give an ideal 3D stretch bending program. The process designer needs to carry out a systematic analysis according to the material properties and bending forming or CAE is limited.
